Amakhosi Safari Lodge

Book and stay at the Amakhosi Safari Lodge, and you can get a last minute discount of between 20% – 47% (depending on the season). This discount is only applicable for the Luxury River Suites. Standard rates are R2200 (1 May -30 Sep) and R3300 (1 Jan – 30 April; 1 Oct – 31 Dec). The discounted rate we have got, means that 9as long as you book and stay within 10 days) you will only pay R1750 pp per night sharing. Over 2 nights, as a couple you would save between R1800 – R6200!
The discounted price even includes 3 Meals daily including soft drinks and house wines, as well as 2 game drives per day with qualified guides. Prices are per person sharing.

about Amakhosi Safari Lodge
Amakhosi, is situated in the heart of Northern Zululand on the banks of the Mkuze River, on the 12000ha Amazulu Private Game Rese. Amakhosi’s uniqueness hinges on its Zulu heritage. Six luxurious river suites and two honeymoon suites rest in harmony with their surroundings. High ceilings, glass walls and private viewing decks all add to the overall impression of being one with nature. Each suite has a lounge, bedroom and en-suite bathroom with a unique bath made for two.

Exit from Johannesburg on the Witbank N4
Take the Middelburg exit to Hendrina
Continue towards Ermelo on the N11
Continue towards Piet Retief on the N2
Drive through the town Piet Retief and continue for approx 3 km
Turn right towards Paul Pietersburg on R33
DO NOT continue on N2 due to terrible Roadworks
Continue past Paul Pietersburg towards Vryheid on R33
Turn left on R69
From here our main gate is approx 103 km. Continue on R69 past Louwsburg
2km before the junction with R66, Amakhosi main gate on the right

From Durban (4½ hour)
Exit from Durban to Stanger on the N2 North
Staying on the N2 North, continue past Empangeni, past Mkuze to Pongola
DO NOT Take the R69 Candover turnoff from the N2, this is a dirt road,
continue all the way to Pongola
