Velvet Sky, SA’s newest low cost airline providing cheap flights, has expanded it’s routes again. Last we spoke, we told you about Velvet Sky now flying to Polokwane from Johannesburg. Velvet Sky have now launched flights between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town & Durban. These flights start in November 2011. This is excellent news as it shows not only that the airline is doing well, but also it increases the competition on these routes thus keeping the prices down for us consumers. So apart from Polokwane and Port Elizabeth, where else does Velvet Sky wish to go. We’re not too sure, but suspect that their next foray might be for flights into Africa, specifically Mauritius, Zanzibar, Mozambique or Zambia.
