Sugar Beach Resort is located on the West coast of Mauritius and boasts the timeless plantation style elegance of days gone by. The resort covers more than 12 hectares with over half a kilometre of sandy beaches and beautiful tropical landscaped gardens.
The Sugar Beach Resort offers a range of rooms available for guests to suit their needs. The Standard Rooms offer a bath with a shower and toilet, and 29 of the Standard Rooms have two queen-sized beds. The Superior Rooms offer separate bath, rain showers, separate toilets and large vanities. 47 of the Superior Rooms are furnished with two queen-sized beds. Both Standard and Superior rooms have either twin or king-sized beds and can accommodate two adults and an extra bed for either a third adult or child sharing.
Sugar Beach offers an impressive range of sports including martial arts, interactive spinning classes, aerobics, yoga and Pilates as well as horse riding and mountain biking.
Guests receive preferential access to the nearby Le Touessrok Golf Course and Tamarina Golf Club with discounted green fees.
The resort also offers a number of activities on site including a Wellness Spa, floodlit tennis courts, badminton, volleyball, mini-football and bocci ball. The main swimming pool consists of a bubble pool and separated children’s area while the South pool provides a quieter option.
Sugar Beach offers a number of complimentary water sports including kayaks, laser sails, glass-bottom boat trips, snorkeling, unlimited water-skiing and windsurfing, fun boat, aqua gym classes, water polo, volley polo and basket polo. Scuba diving, big game fishing, parasailing and full day catamaran cruises are available in the area at an extra charge.
Sugar Beach boasts four bars for guests to enjoy, namely the Tides Bar which offers traditional five-o’clock tea and night time entertainment with a resident DJ. Mon Plaisir Bar features an authentic craft market and live street evening entertainment.
The Sports Bar offers refreshments for those making use of the facilities and a flat screen TV for international sports broadcasts while Citronellaís Bar serves aperitifs on an outdoor deck before both lunch and dinner. The Beach Trolley Bar provides refreshments and light snacks along the beach for guests to enjoy in the privacy of their own thatched parasols.
Sugar Beach offers a wide choice of dining including Mon Plaisir Restaurant, the main restaurant which serves breakfast and features themed live cooking evenings and cosmopolitan buffet dinners. Tides Restaurant on the beach front offers world seafood cuisine for lunch and dinner. Citronellaís CafÈ offers light meals at lunch time and Italian cuisine at dinner.
