Package Holidays to Namibia

Namibia has much to offer visitors and there are many travel packages available to choose from. The most popular packages are safari travel packages and these generally include accommodation on a dinner bed and breakfast basis, return flights from Johannesburg, airport taxes, airport transfers to the lodge, charter flights in and out of the Okavango Delta (if part of the package), game drives with trained guides as well as all park entry frees, vehicle costs and guide fees at the game parks.
These packages do not include travel insurance, gratuities, visas and items of a personal nature.
Self drive packages are also popular and these include all accommodation except when camping at community campsites, accommodation, breakfast and dinner at lodges throughout the safari. They do not include vehicle rental, fuel costs, camping equipment, entry fees, visas, travel insurance and items of a personal nature.

Most popular areas in Namibia

Etosha National Park is one of the world’s best wildlife sanctuaries and offers excellent game-viewing where visitors can spy elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and hyenas and big cats.
The Fish River Canyon is strictly for the fit and adventurous. Hikes are organised with an experienced guide and well worth the strain.
Swakopmund is surrounded by desert and offers adrenaline sports such as quad-biking, dune buggy racing and sand-boarding.
Damaraland’s rugged wilderness allows visitors to join conservationists as they track black rhino in their efforts to protect the endangered species.
The Caprivi Strip is considered to be one of Africa’s top 10 birding sites and has the largest concentration of birds in Namibia.

The dry land of Namibia is the second least densely populated country in the world and is named after the Namib Desert, considered the oldest desert in the world. Its landscape consists of five geographical areas: the Central Plateau, the Namib Desert, the Great Escarpment, the Bushveld, and the Kalahari Desert. Located adjacent to the Bushveld in north-central Namibia is the Etosha Pan, one of nature’s most spectacular features. For most of the year it is a dry wasteland, but during the wet season it forms a shallow lake covering more than 6,000 square kilometres and is vital to the large numbers of birds and animals from the surrounding savannah. The Kalahari Desert seems to defy the common definition of desert with the Succulent Karoo being home to over 5000 species of plant.
Namibia has more than 300 days of sunshine per year making it a wonderful destination for travelers.
